Athletic Trainer

Department: Athletics
Location: Sandy Springs, GA

Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking an Athletic Trainer. HIES is the largest Episcopal Parish day school in the country, offering a fully accredited college preparatory program for students age three through 12th grade. HIES is located north of downtown Atlanta between I-75 and GA 400.

This is a 10-month full-time position.

Typical Duties

  • Provide athletic training services for all home athletic events and practices as well as some travel events.
  • Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, rehabs, physicals, and rosters of athletes.
  • Act as a liaison between coaches, parents, school personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide coaches with lists of student-athletes medically cleared to compete.
  • Train and supervise athletic student aides as necessary.

Skills and Abilities

The successful candidate will have the following skills and abilities:

  • Certification/good standing with the NATA is required.
  • Experience in working with working with a variety of different sports.
  • Excellent organization, presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Educational and Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
  • Must be in possession of or able to obtain Georgia Athletic Training license before start date
  • CPR/First aid certification
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing and safety training required.
